Hi Mel,

I’m glad you posted here. I am in the same boat, caring for my mum who has terminal bowel cancer. It can be a very isolating experience I know. I try to organize one thing to look forward to every week, whether it’s coffee with a friend, a movie, something just for you. Caring for a loved one with cancer is consuming, so you need to look after yourself too.

Hi 👋🏼 my name is Mel.

My dad has brain cancer and we’ve been battling for 3 years now. (I’m his carer) I dont know what I’m expecting here but my half sister thought it was a good idea that I chat with people. I’m a bit deflated as it’s been a rough couple of months, he’s had 1 tumor removed but still has 5 more so it was only about buying time as his drs have told us he will never be in remission. I’m in a dark place in my head that’s all... thanks

Hi Mel, I'm glad you found this forum- it's a great place to chat/vent/encourage/ask/whatever you need. It's good to connect with people in a similar situation, as other people don't understand what it's like in the same way. I hope tomorrow is a good day. love and hugs, Emily
