It’s wonderful that you want to show your sister-in-law support. She’ll likely appreciate any gesture made with love and care. Hats or bandanas can be very thoughtful, especially if they’re soft, stylish, or comforting. Just be sure to include a kind note that acknowledges her strength and lets her know you’re there for her. You could also add cosy items like a blanket, lip balm, or a journal. A self-care themed package can offer both comfort and encouragement. The fact that you’re putting so much thought into this already shows how deeply you care; she’ll feel that.

Care package

My sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago, but she only just told me about it. She had surgery a couple of days ago.

I want to mail her a care package or something to show support and encouragement. Any ideas for what might be appropriate for her situation?

I understand she’s been working from home over the past few months, mostly because she lost her hair and hasn’t been feeling well. I was thinking of sending her an assortment of hats or bandanas - but then I second-guessed myself, wondering if that might come off as insensitive. I'm really not sure what’s best.

Any thoughtful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
