In Dec 2024 my mum was diagnosed with tongue cancer. I had my daughter via c section mid December then in January my mum was meant to have her tongue removed but they found mine cancer on her soft pallet and tonsils so surgery didn’t go ahead. My mum had radiation and chemo for 8 weeks from February until April. I live with my mum so cared for her and my newborn daughter. It was so difficult watching her vomit so much, not eat and have to get feeding tubes. Sometimes she wouldn’t make it to the bathroom so I would have to clean her and the floor. In July 2025 she was put into remediation then just this month during the pet scan it was found out that she has lung cancer. She has a biopsy getting done late this month. The specialist thinks surgery or radiation will be the go. I’m angry at the world and nervous to have to see my strong king mum go through treatment again.
