Hi AllBeen out of the 'loop' for a while - my computer decided to die and has been in 'hospital' for a while but now I have it back and trying to catch up with everything.Philip has had an ulcer on the back of his ear for a couple of months and after a few course of antibiotics our Doc decided to do a biospy. Came back as a BCC(basal cell carcinoma). It has now spread to the top of the ear.Because of Philip's history all of his specialists and Drs felt that surgery was not an option - it would required quite extensive surgery to renove it and then grafts. The general concensus was to see if radiotherapy could help.Saw the drs last week (5 of them) and they decided to give him one dose of radiation this Thursday. The reason for one does is that it will overlap the old radiated area and also radiating cartilidge is generally a no-no.The hope is that it will contain it to the area it is now in and it will dry the area up. A couple of the Drs think that it actually from the old radiation. As they say it never rains it pours - this has not been a good 6 months for him.Regards to you all and thanks to those who have either emaied me or left comments on my blog.
