Hello everyone, I have advanced chondrosarcoma cancer diagnosed by my doctor. I'm now in the final stage. Before going to hear the results, I believe everyone has instincts, and some can sense the outcome even before meeting the doctor for the results. It’s just that you can choose to deny it or accept it. For me, ever since I started my treatment, my instincts told me it would come back, and I practiced meditation for four years before the cancer returned. I could accept the diagnosis immediately. I didn’t even ask the doctor how much time I had left; I just told him I would be a good patient until that day comes.

The next step, I know it will be a prolonged treatment, and I won't be able to work anymore. I found someone to share my house with to reduce expenses. I sorted through unnecessary household items and donated them, keeping only what I really needed. I appointed a lawyer and made a close friend my next of kin. They know what I want while I'm in a coma and unable to communicate. I don’t want life support or CPR; I want to go naturally, and I have donated my body to a university in Sydney for medical students for four years.

As for the rental of the apartment, my friend can step into my role when I am gone, and there is a lawyer as an intermediary. My lawyer is free from the cancer council, and everything has been set up. I feel relieved that I won’t leave too much burden on those left behind. Everyone was very shocked by my preparations for death, but if you prepare early, what you gain is peace of mind, and you won’t have worries when the day actually comes. At least if you handle these matters quickly, you’ll have time to focus solely on treatment to reduce stress and potentially extend your life. But if anyone is still struggling to accept it, take your time. Don’t keep everything to yourself; find someone to talk to, and take it step by step. I want to encourage all patients—if anyone needs more information, feel free to comment. I’m happy to answer any questions.
