Hi,

Are there any other Medullablastoma survivors out there? I had mine resected just over 4 and a half years ago, just had my brain and spine scan; all clear still but does anyone the chances of recurrence? My Oncologist is very positive and says there’s little chance of a recurrence but aren’t they always bright and chirpy anyway? 😃

Congratulations on your scans being clear

It sounds like you have an amazing oncologist!

Does anyone here have any insight to offer on the chances of recurrence? How do you deal with it?

Thanks Kate, yes he’s very good, Dr Sacha Senthi in Melbourne.

I had my operation at Penrith Hospital in NSW with Dr Andrew Davidson who was amazing and then my Oncologist in Penrith was Dr JJ, a brilliant Oncologist with a wicked sense of humour who really helped me through Radiotherapy and the issues we faced as a family. He’s even texted me a few times now I’m in Melbourne just to catch up and check we’re all ok,

Couldn’t wish for better Doctors.
