Hi @Cazza1 ,

Welcome to the Community. Sorry it's under these circumstances. Try looking at things this way - you can't change what has happened in the past, what's done is done; but you can control your future to a certain extent. Try not to worry about what has happened, you can't change it; Concentrate on your future - do some research so you're prepared for what is to come; Try to get fitter before any surgery (depending on how much time you have), & continue gentle exercise during treatment; TALK with people, someone, anyone, a counsellor if need be - it really helps. You may find some people don't want to know you after a cancer diagnosis - this is when you find your true friends.

Hi I am new to the CC Online Community. A week and a half ago I was told I have Anal Cancer, waited 3 months to see a specialist, then to have urgent sent for MRI and Biopsy. My last PAP test result February 2021 stated HPV16 for further investigation???? I am anxiously awaiting my official results (10am tomorrow) so I'm feeling anxious, isolated and scared as I don't know what Stage my cancer is nor my prognosis with treatment. I am trying to stay positive but the unknown just makes me feel ungrounded. Any suggestions welcome
