Not sure if it is OK to post questions here, if I haven't been diagnosed.

Am 3 years in Menopause. 3rd Dec I started bleeding heavily. My GP referred me to my local rural hospital. The service here is negligible. Our specialists come up once a month or so. Our waiting times are years above the State average. So I drove myself to Melb. Women's Hospital. Doctor thinks it's urgent for me to have some tests, so I get a bed for the night. Ultrasound next morning showing thickening of Uterine Wall. I am advised I will need a further test with a camera and a D & C. have a teleconference appointment this Thur. Expect / Hope they will give me appointment time for this testing. Am struggling to remain calm while having to wait.

First bleeding stopped after 5 days. Just started bleeding again yesterday. Very heavy. Making me scared and anxious. I have had leg pain for about 4 to 5 months. X-ray and ultrasound show nothing. I did have HPV when I was 20 years old. All further PAP smears have been clear. I am fatigued. Needed an Iron infusion due to low iron and low folate. Felt good for 2 weeks. Back to fatigue.

I am so scared. Not just that it will be Uterine cancer, but that it would have already spread. How do i cope with the waiting? I am single. My adult son is in Melb. I am alone.

Hi Utopia. Hopefully tomorrow you get some answers with the teleconference. Yes the waiting can be such a horrible time. I know my anxiety went through the roof waiting for my diagnosis which was lymphoma. So I understand. Do you have a good friend to be with you while you have your phone call? I can’t give you much advice on your symptoms. Hopefully it’s something hormonal and not cancer. Sending you love and prayers 🙏💕 Linda G

Thank you for your response. I have a temporary date for surgery, the 27th of Feb, if all goes well with the Anethatist ph Call.

Best friend just diagnosed with Lupus. So don't want to burden her. I will just have to manage my Anxiety until the results are back sometime in February. God everything takes so long when you just want an answer now.

Thanks again Linda.
