Hi,

I'm new here: second diagnosis of BCC personally. My mother has metastatic BC, about to start chemotherapy.

I'm very lucky that she has a good chance to kick the latest outbreak. I'm also grateful that next week I'll be having mine removed. But I must admit, I'm selfishly a little concerned about my cancer metastasizing (even thought thats really rare). Mum's was a grade 1 cancer and it spread a year after chemotherapy was deemed successful.

Is the chance of cancers spreading genetic, do you know?

Should I insist on getting a scan on my lymph nodes just in case? I'm about 80% positive I've found two more BCC since my diagnosis and I'm worried.

I should also mention I have pretty severe anxiety, so I apologize for all the fear.

Thanks
