After 5 years of GLIVEC &nbsp;treatment , the GIST came back in more than one location in the intestine and he was placed on SUTENT . Unfortunately &nbsp;the side effect of the medication cause liver damage and it was ceased . They also discovered his GIST progressed to 20cm rapidly And that sutent wasn’t working . We are desperate to find the opinion of a second health professional in terms of treatment as we haven’t been given any options . He’s in a lot of pain as the gist is compressing his rectum .
