Depends on a lot of things. Is it head and neck cancer that spread to lung, or is it two different cancers that occured at same time. I figure it would be head and neck cancer spread to lung. Well, if it squamous cell carcinoma, which most head and neck cancers are, there are two basic types. p16 or hpv positive. And p16 negative. If you have p16 positive, the prognosis is very good if it is just in mouth, or throat, and even lymph nodes of neck. In that case your cure rate is something like 90%. However, since it has spreat to lung, that brings it down, not sure of the figure but I'd imagine you lose 20%. If it is p16 negative, your cure rate is at best 45%. Again, somewhat less because of the spread to lung. If it is p16 negative, you would probably be looking at surgical removal of all tumors and affected tissue, followed by six weeks radiation and chemo. Then monitoring for five years.
