Hi everyone, I’m new here and just wanted to introduce myself. I was recently diagnosed with vulval melanoma, which had spread to a lymph node in my groin. I’ve had surgery that included a radical vulvectomy, clitordectomy and removal of all the groin lymph nodes. It’s been a huge physical and emotional journey, and I’m really keen to hear from anyone who has gone through something similar.

How was your recovery after surgery? Were there things that helped you manage pain, mobility, or day-to-day life?

I’m also wondering whether others felt counselling or professional support was important during recovery – and if so, what kind of support helped the most?

Thank you so much for letting me share. I’m really looking forward to learning from your experiences and finding some connection here. 💜
