This starts with a squamous cell carcinoma cut from my back. Some time later the same cancer grows in my left toncil. I am waiting for 2 more surgeries one to get nodes in my neck the other to get what was not taken by the first surgery.

My question is about the information I get from the doctors. I get a very strong feeling that I am only getting the PG version and being told only what they think I need to know. Even though I have said this to them. Dose anyone else feel that this is happening to them.

They don’t seam to make a connection between the cancer on my back and the tonsil cancer. In fact the doctor said my back was basil not squamous although I have a report saying 7mm 6mm squamous the Doctor who took it only took 2mm in depth. On my pet scan the glow is rather large but they say possibly a small spot. In all from my first visit to an ENT specialist to my next 2 operations will be less than 40 day. Yet they saying don’t worry . Am I over thinking this.

Hi Buru,

My advice is to do as much reading as you can about all the questions you have, and if you're not happy with the doctor, you are entitled to ask for a second opinion.

Budgie

Thank you for your reply.

Thats just it the more I read the more I think they are not giving me all the information.

All I have so far is the name. The staging appointment was huge for me, I guess for us all. But I didn’t get a stage. They didn’t make a connection between the things going on that I have linked easily by reading. There is a formular I found they use to know what a safe margin is .02mm is not enough it should have been 5mm. Then they didn’t get the second time right either. I don’t think they are giving me all the information because they have not things right. My issue now is I am stuck with a team I don’t have much faith in.
