Higher risk for significant cervical abnormality

I just got my papsmear result a past 2weeks and my result is abnormal... my doc ask me to go to a private hospital but i cant afford it and im asking for a public hospital and still wait for a call.. so its that okay if i go for a check up a bit late ..? Is anything gonna happen to me.. coz i need a urgent opinion about that..

She want me to go meet a specialist for make a conformation about my cancer cell... and im still waiting for call from hospital...its cost me 600$ for a private hospital.

I'm sorry, I can't think of anything that could help you. Could you ask your GP for another specialist to see, one that wouldn't cost you so much?
I think there are a few very greedy doctors out there that care more about the money they can make than the health of the people they are there to serve. But what can we do?
I hope your GP can help you further, or maybe someone else on this site can offer some advice.

I already ask my GP to find another doctor.. so they gve me a public hospital.. i just need to wait they ring me for a appointment and i hope they ring me ASAP coz im worry..Btw than u so muchh..

Hi Aina,

I think Budgie has replied to your post. I'm hoping for you that this is a false alarm. I have daughters and daughters in law that have had an abnormal pap smear. It's just abnormal and so far has not been diagnosed as cancer. They've had to go and have further tests but luckily no cancer was found. I'm hoping the same outcome for you and will keep my fingers crossed.

Don't stress just yet. It's unconfirmed and yes it is a worry but either way it will be diagnosed soon. Good luck and I hope your news is good.

Hii..thanks ... i already go to hospital and dona colposcopy and the doctor say they found a 2 active cell but still dont know yet... what i need to do now is wait dor my result on 16/1.. I hope everything is ok or i will need to do a operation ..
