Invitation: Panel discussion on the management of Thyroid Cancer

We'd like to extend an invitation to you all to attend a panel discussion and Q&A session on August 8th in Sydney.

The evening will consist of a panel discussion and Q&A session on Modern Management of Thyroid Cancer. The event is FREE but will require you to book online, and will also offer a networking opportunity. The event is open to patients along with their friends and family members, as well as researchers and clinicians.

The event will focus on new approaches to managing Thyroid cancer, adopting a personalised approach tailored to each patient. The speaker panel consists of leading national experts in thyroid cancer.

The speaker panel consists of:

Professor Bruce Robinson - New medical therapies for high-risk thyroid cancers, offering new hope to these patients with previously poor outcomes.
Associate Professor Diana Learoyd - The importance of not over-treating low risk thyroid cancer, discussing how expert clinicians use patient-specific features to identify those that require minimal treatment.
Associate Professor Mark Sywak - Surgery for high risk thyroid cancer, identifying the need for careful pre-operative planning and the use of a multidiscplinary team approach.
Dr Geoff Schembri - Modern trends in radioactive iodine treatment, using risk-adjusted dosing.
