if you have a port inserted after several treatments, is the risk of getting a clot less likely than if you have it inserted after only a couple of treatments.

I had a port put in before I started my treatment. Do most people get ports put in later? (Sorry, recently diagnosed, don’t know a lot)

What cancer have you gott? After my experience with a Port-o-cath I would very careful, I wouldn't recommend them if your having treatment for Breast Cancer
