I really miss my Dad too. Dad had bowel cancer and passed away 2 weeks before his 70th birthday in 1992. For my own cancer 4 years ago, when they tested my tumour they found some mutations and told me that it looked like that I inherited the "cancer gene". They call it Lynch Syndrome or HNPCC. Well, apart from my dad, my grandfather also had bowel cancer. Being 3rd generation cancer now, I have annual check ups in the form of a colonscopy. Apart from the cancer, it seems that I have inherited a few things from my dad. Chatterbox, blue eyes and a few more,oh he has a lot to answer to when I finally meet up with him again. As a tribute to my lovely dad, I have a special part in our garden that I have dedicated to him. At this time of the year I have daffodils flowering, it always cheers me up.

Hope you are feeling a lot better.
Did you call the help line? I had an interview with the Cancer Connect people yesterday for volunteer work. What they do is: if you call the helpline and want to talk to someone that has experienced the same cancer as you, then they put you in contact with them. Helpline number again is 131120. Hope this helps you.

Congratulations. My husband and I recently celebrated our 44th anniversary and last week also was my 4th year anniversary since I was diagnosed with my cancer.
