Enduring Nausea- several weeks after chemotherapy/radiotherapy

Hi everyone

My mother who is 71 recently completed an intense 6 week period of weekly chemotherapy sessions and daily radiotherapy sessions.

Since the last week of treatment, she has become very unwell, unable to swallow due to oesophagitis, and constantly feeling nauseous. She has declined in weight significantly, has no appetite and mostly consumes half a cup of food daily.
Does anyone know of any hints or tips to help mum get past this stage? Her throat is starting to heal, but the nausea is debilitating, to the point where she spends most of her time in bed. ANY advice, past experience, whatever is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Enduring Nausea- several weeks after chemotherapy/radiotherapy

Just as a side note, she completed treatment (radiotherapy) the week prior to christmas, so it has been approx 2-3 weeks since. She did not complete her last chemo treatment, therefore approx 4 weeks have passed since her last chemo session.
