One to One Support

Talk to someone who has been through what you are going through or that understands.

13 11 20 is a free and confidential, information and support service that is run by Cancer Council in each state and territory across Australia.   The telephone-based service is available between 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, and is staffed by experienced health professionals.     Whilst the team can't give out individual medical advice, they can chat to you about different types of cancer and their effects, as well as explain what will happen during your cancer treatment.   Our 13 11 20 Information and Support team can also help with emotional and practical support, as well as be able to link you with Cancer Council's wider range of support programs.   Who can call 13 11 20? Anyone can call 13 11 20! Whether you're someone that has been diagnosed or living with cancer, or you're someone else affected by cancer, such as a family member, friend or carer. Or perhaps you're a teacher, student or even a health professional - everyone is most welcome to call if you have a question to ask or need some information.   If you require a translator for languages other than English, please call 13 14 50.   We also welcome calls through the National Relay Service if you are deaf, hard of hearing and/or have a speech impairment.
