Hi everyone. I started a clinical trial in October for the Braf inhibitor produced by GSK. If anyone out there is on a trial for Melanoma secondaries with GSK or the Roche equivalent I would be really interested in comparing some notes of side effects and benefits etc. The process is not an easy one. Taking some pills 3 times a day is certainly a lot easier than doing chemo. I sit in the day care suite at Westmead and see those who are undertaking that treatment and my heart goes out to them. This has its own downsides, significant joint pain in the morning for me with a range of other problems. I'm sure that they will be sorted out eventually but of course it is all so new that the medical staff are just getting the info together and aren't really working from a position of knowledge. Love to hear from anyone on the topic or anyone else for that matter.
