Hi everyone I'm new to this forum. My dad has had CLL for 6 years now, he had chemo for the first few years when diagnosed but nothing for ages, as it became stable. Last November he was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Skin Cancer (behind ear) they could not operate because of the CLL, so he had radiation for 7 weeks. Radiation stopped at the end of February and now the SC has come back and spreading around the ear (causing lots of pain). The doctors said there is not much they can do but might try him on Xeloda. His CLL has started to get high again and his platelets are sitting on 20. Can someone please tell me if they have or know someone with similar condition and if there is anything that can be done? My dad is 66, he means the world to me. Thank you. Kat.
