Nationwide text message service for breast cancer survivors - Westmead Breast Cancer Institute &Usyd
Hi all, Please let me know if this was not appropriate to share. Ever since my best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, I've been striving to create new ways to support people with a history of breast cancer. My team at the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute and University of Sydney acknowledge that the COVID19 has been an especially challenging time for many people with a history of breast cancer, with support groups being postponed or cancelled.
Together with breast cancer survivors, breast cancer specialists and digital health experts, we developed a free 3-month text message service. The service covers topics like mental health, exercise, healthy eating and has links to free survivorship services and government advice for COVID-19. See the poster below for more information:
This service is near and dear to my heart and I hope you enjoy it! Warm regards, Anna
