DCIS high grade

 I'm 58 and Just been told I have high grade DCIS head spin under statement. 

I've been doing some research before I see a specialist at the end of the month.

The treatments as invasive as if cancer which is a shock to discover.

Has anyone left untreated and monitored every 6 months whats people experience with this.

Thank you to anyone who reply.
