Telehealth uses phone or video communication to provide health care services and information to patients.
Telehealth appointments are currently operating in lots of different ways. Sometimes it is a telephone call from your home to your doctor. Sometimes it is a video conference from your home to your doctor. Sometimes a specialised link provided gives you access to an online platform to join a telephone or video conference with your doctor.
Your doctor or healthcare professional should provide you with information on this service, and how to access it, as well as tips on troubleshooting if required. Your doctor will let you know if it’s important for you to come in to see them in person.
Cancer Council NSW would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work.We would also like to pay respect to elders past and present and extend that respect to all other Aboriginal people.
