Hi all, I have been diagnosed with SCC head and Neck, in my Lymhp nodes on the right hand side of my neck. It has been 2 and a 1/2 months, I have had three rounds of chemo each round lasting 6 days. My Oncologist says if i want to dot the "I" and cross the "T" the i will do it. After this I have 35 days of chemo and radio combined. This is the hardest thing I have dealt with. I am 43 and did noit even feel sick from the cancer, I worked full time, and led and active life. I have heard everything from they will remove your Lymhp chain, to not being so gloomy as it is HPV + we treatment will have a very good impact on the cancer, It is so confusing what to believe and think. I am trying to be positive and keeping it in the moment it is just very tough today and it probally doest help that i am only just home from chemo - the psychological battle is intense, anyway i just needed to share that, thanks for reading. Hiya Eric Hang in there ... the treatment is tough but doable. HPV is considered to be one of the better strains to have. I am 4 years out now from a Head and Neck Cancer and back to work and life is back to some sort of normality. Speak to your doctors and cancer nurses if you are having problems with any part of your treatment as they can help you greatly. Don't forget to "self care" and that will also assist you in getting through this. By that I mean, to do your mouth rinses and take your medications when you are supposed to. Be aware that depression can be a side effect of any cancer diagnosis and seek help if you need it. All the best with your treatments and there is a group on here especially for head and neck patients. Julie
