I'm scared of the after-effects

Hi Guys

I wonder has anyone had a free Flap operation  ?

The radiation and then a extraction from my lower left jaw has left my jaw  open to neucrosis this year my jaw fractured..

Now the wonderful Surgeons at RBWH tell me they can put my fibula in my jaw..

My instant gut feeling is umm no thanks I don't want to do it..

Has anyone had such a operation..

Please ,do tell.

Thanks for reaching out to the forum and such a good question to ask of others that may have been through a similar surgery. I can imagine it is a lot to get your head around. We have a program that connects you with a volunteer in the community who may have had a similar surgery or treatment to you. It is called our "Connect Program".
