Hi @Stevie,
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It sounds like you are a very resilient person with everything you have managed over the years. What amazing strength and perseverance you must have.
It also sounds like it could be a good idea to speak to someone about how you are feeling. Your medical team or GP are a great starting point in sharing how you are feeling and would be able to offer support. Lifeline are a 24/7 support line that can be contacted on 13 11 14 to speak to a confidential support person. Our Cancer Council Information and Support Line can be contacted on 13 11 20. Our health professionals would be happy to take your call.
Speaking to someone about how you are feeling can make a tremendous impact on how you are feeling. I do encourage you to reach out.
Take care,
Felicity

Hi @Mel7000 ,
I'm so sorry chemo has been such a challenging experience for you. Many people I speak to find waiting for scans extremely challenging. "Scan-xiety" doesn't really cover the sense of uncertainty that it sounds like you are experiencing. Be gentle with yourself. It sounds like you are doing your best to be present. Engaging in things you enjoy and having small projects can be helpful.
If you are in Australia please know that you can call Cancer Council Information and Support Line on 13 11 20 and speak to one of our health professionals for support. Cancer Council also has a useful booklet on Emotions and Cancer.
This forum is a wonderful place to connect with others who understand. Perhaps others can share their experience?
