I don't really know whether it is safe or not. A good starting point would be to discuss with your GP, and maybe he could refer you to another service if more specialist knowledge is required for your circumstances.
At the very least, I'd be using a mask and being very careful about cleaning my hands, but as a professional cleaner, I'm sure you are already more careful about that than I am.
