Uterine polyp

I had gone for a sonogram and the doctor said I have very thick lining and a polyp.I am 45 and have been having heavy bleeding and pelvic pain for over 4 months. The ob said I need to have surgery to remove the polyp and take tissue sample for biopsy but I can’t get in for two months. I hate to wait so long because I am so worried what the outcome is.
