im looking for support group sydney

hi all. i have an extremely rare muscle condition/illness that is very physical but also very mentally testing too. i am wondering if there are any support groups for disabled/disease/blind etc in sydney. i would like to meet people in the same boat as me to chat etc.  someone mentioned i try here. i live inner west

Welcome to Cancer Council Online Community, this is a great place to get information and support.  This group is for people who have a cancer diagnosis.  You mention that you have a rare muscle condition/illness, you don't mention if any of the things you're struggling with are related to a cancer diagnosis.  If they are, and you live in Australia, you can call our 13 11 20 telephone support line they can tell you if there are support groups in your area that may be suitable for you.  If your struggles aren't cancer related, it may be worth speaking to your GP or a nurse who is supporting you to ask if they have details for support groups in your area.
