Life after cancer support group for young people (Sydney)

I hope this isn't frowned upon posting this here, but if it's against any rules, please just delete it.

There is a new support group being started for young survivors (25 to 45 years of age) of cancer of all types, who are no longer receiving treatment.

The first meeting will be held in the Sydney CBD on October 30th between 6 and 8pm.

The next meeting will be this Wednesday, 29th January,  6 - 8 pm.

As last time, please send an email if you plan to attend.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, this support group for young people (25-45 - I love that they still call me young!) continues online via zoom.

If you are interested in attending, please send an email to the group contract email address and you will be provided with details of the zoom session.

It's a friendly, inclusive group of people and it would be great to see you there.

It sure is! The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, 25th of August. 

If you send an email to lifeaftercancersydney@gmail.com to register and you should receive a zoom meeting invite a day or two before the meeting.

Hi, I'm quite interested to attend. Do I have to pay upon registering or is membership fees needed? May I also know what is the focus of the group, is it mainly a support system or does it also include doing charity events and cleaning programs? Thanks.

Hello,

There is no payment required for membership.

This is a peer support group by volunteers. Prior to covid we would meet once a month in the city.  For now we all meet via a zoom chat.

The only requirements (as per the originally attached flyer) are that you not be receiving treatment and that you are between 25 to 45 years of age.

To sign up, you just need to send an email and you should receive an invite to the zoom.
