Thyroid Cancer, spread to lung.

Thyroid Cancer, spread to lung.

I’m after any helpful advice or where to start looking for second opinions, different specialists/oncologists.

my mum has been given a new diagnosis from treatable at the beginning of the year to stage 4 and let’s hope the medication works, but talks of palliative and end of life are all we are hearing instead of any options that might be available to her.

for this reason we are starting to doubt her current care team and their lack of interest or options as well as the lack of trying to help her with her current symptoms. We are being given a lot of we don’t know what that’s happening, there’s no reason etc.

I don’t know where to start trying to find a new care team for her….

Hello Kelly! I’m really sorry to hear about your mum's situation. It sounds incredibly challenging and disheartening. Finding a new care team can definitely be overwhelming, but there are steps you can take to explore new options.

First, consider reaching out to major cancer centers or hospitals with specialized oncology departments. These institutions often have multidisciplinary teams that might provide a fresh perspective and new treatment options. They can also offer second opinions and might have access to clinical trials or emerging treatments that could be beneficial.

Additionally, support groups and forums for cancer patients and their families can be a valuable resource. Connecting with others who have faced similar situations might lead you to recommendations for specialists who have made a difference in their cases.

Don’t hesitate to ask for referrals from trusted healthcare professionals or to seek out patient advocacy services that can help guide you through this process.

Important: Choose only reliable pharmacies to obtain the necessary medicines of the best quality, because the entire outcome of your treatment depends on it. My personal recommendation is a pharmacy where I am always satisfied with both the quality and the price - global-world-delivery.com
