So today was not like ever other day. Honestly I keep asking myself if this is really happening. I had a lump on my throat for a couple of months. When I went to the family Doctor. He thought it was nothing but get an ultrasound. The ultrasound results took a long time. Finally the results were in. “Well I think you should see anENT”. You know they just want to make sure. After a CT yesterday I was told I have cancer. But they can’t yet tell where it’s at. “There will be a lot more test”. I can’t sleep I don’t understand because I feel fine. Except since I came home I think ever part of my body hurts. I am just so glad there is this forum cause I really can’t sleep.
Hello, so sorry about your diagnosis. Yes I can relate to how you’re feeling. I went from a lump in my neck which I thought was a swollen gland to lots of tests to the final diagnosis of non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I also felt really well! I can relate to not being able to sleep and the anxiety in the beginning was horrendous. Once I started treatment I was a lot more settled and have just finished my last round of 6 chemo treatments and it has been successful. So I hope you feel better emotionally soon once the specialist puts a plan in place. Ring the cancer Council whenever you need to. They are so supportive. Hope you have lots of people around who will be there for you. 💕Linda G
