Lung cancer survivor

Hi everyone.  Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my upper right lobectomy to removed an adenocarcinoma.  I am now clear of cancer but struggle badly with asthma and COPD and still have pain and numbness.  I don't believe I have dealt emotionally with the whole cancer thing, especially having recently lost a close friend from liver cancer.  The survivor guilt is right up there!  I have read through some posts here and my heart goes out to each and every one ♥️♥️

Re: Lung cancer survivor

Hello Fantasma,

It is great to hear that you have been cleared from your cancer diagnosis.

At the same time I am so sorry for the loss of your friend.

It may take some time to adjust to a new routine, away from hospitals and tretment centers.

Please do not feel guilty for being in remission, as you have endure your own journey, which is never an easy one.

I hope others in this community would like to share their own experiences with you.

If you struggle emotionally and are an Australian resident, please call our support and information line on 131120 to check what support is available for you.

Best wishes

Susana
