Hi, Greg here, im new to this community. I have an 11cm tumour in my liver and had a biopsy Mon 2 Sept. I meet with my specialist Wed 11 Sept. Has anyone out there had something similar? What was your outcome? Im dreading what the news might be, so hoping you reach out and we can chat. Many Thanks
Hi Greg57, so sorry you have to go through this experience. I didn’t have a liver problem so can’t give you any advice with that. I was diagnosed with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma so understand the anxiety as you wait for your biopsy results. Hope and pray that you have a good outcome with your specialist tomorrow. It will be best if you can have someone with you to hear what he says. Take care and always reach out for help. 🙏♥️. LindaG
Great to hear from you Linda, i appreciate your kind thoughts. I will know my outcome this afternoon. Hoping for the best but kind of prepared for the worst. Fingers crossed. I hope you are doing well. Greg
Well, yesterday i recieved the news i was kind of expecting, i have liver cancer. My specialist says due to its size and location it cant be removed surgically, so i have to have treatment which will cut off the blood supply and hopefully reduce its size, maybe then surgery might be an option. Whilst there is still hope, i cant help feeling im on borrowed time. Its all happened so quick. 4 months ago i was working as a painter, loved the beach, fishing and camping, generally going ok. Now im struggling to find the energy to even get out of bed. Im getting emotional, anxious, depressed, trapped. I guess these are normal feelings for anyone with any cancer and i know im not alone. Love and prayers to everyone who is fighting the battle. I wish you well. Greg
Hi Greg, that’s awful news for you. So. sorry 😢. Yes, one day life is going great and then it changes in a moment. I hope you have family and friends who can support you through this time. The fatigue, anxiety, depression is just so debilitating. You have to trust the medical people who are giving you advice and keep reaching out for help. I am praying for you 🙏♥️. LindaG
Hi Linda, youre so kind, thankyou so much for your words they mean a lot to me. How are YOU doing? I read up on youre condition and was a bit shocked to hear what it is. I suppose you are going through your own hard time. Are you getting treatment? What does your future look like?
Hi Greg, I was diagnosed in January 2021 after finding a lump in my neck. I had 6 rounds of chemo 3 weeks apart and my treatment was successful. It was a very difficult time but my family were so supportive and got me through it. The medical people were so kind and I hope you have the same care. ♥️ Linda
Hi Greg
Janet here. I too had liver cancer, 2 types hcc & cholangiocarcinoma which had spread to lymph node so stage 3 now. I had surgery and clear margins means no cancer present currently. Surgery was difficult but I’m here 6 months later. Confronting fear is the most difficult aspect for me and likely you also. It’s best to follow up all your appointments for scans & be advised by your multidisciplinary med team. There are a range of treatments even at stage 4 to assist your progress. If you’re feeling overly anxious inform your Gp and seek treatment to deal with overwhelming circumstances. Good luck 😉
Thankyou Janet, just feeling overwhelmed at the moment. Glad to hear you had succesfull treatment. Is there a chance it will come back? I will know more when i see the specialist at Liverpool hospital next week and works out a plan for me. Thanks for getting in touch and offering your words of support. Much appreciated, Greg
