Re: Nervously waiting for liver biopsy results

Hi Cindi, yes the holiday was nice, didnt get to have a surf unfortunately, it was really rough most of the time. Got to catch up with a mate i grew up with and havnt seen for 35 years, he lives in Nowra and drove up to see me a few times. Went for a swim, had lunch at the pub, it was good to see him. As for my treatment, i go in for work up on 21 March, its the same procerure as SIRT, but using chemo instead. Shame about your ankle, if its not one thing it something else. Hopefully you are back into it sooner rather than later. Love and hugs for you, Greg xx

Re: Nervously waiting for liver biopsy results

Hi @Cindi54

I’m glad your a lot better and your ankle not. Causing too much distress

I’m really good, we are handling my new life no problems, I wouldn’t even say anything has changed

I’ve been going to the pool again, no problems at all, not what anyone wants to know but I pee in the pool

but it all stays attached to me

it will still take some time to get a good level of fitness but my insides are finding new homes and seem to be settling well

take care

jennifer 😘

Re: Nervously waiting for liver biopsy results

Hi @Cindi54

So kind of you, you say the nicest kindest words.

i have amazed myself  as how well I have recovered, and my GP and professor have  also said I’ve had an exceptional recovery. I do exactly as I’m told and Peter has done everything to make sure I do as I’m told. I’m back to normal but still have to remember that my insides are still recovering. I’ve also amazed myself how well I have coped with the ‘bag’ no mishaps at all no infections and the night bag causes no hassles I can sleep on both sides no problems at all

hope all is going well with you especially with no treatments, take your time and don’t push yourself

kind thoughts

Re: Nervously waiting for liver biopsy results

Hi Jennifer, how are you going these days?  Hope you had a nice time away. I was just going through some of the replies ive had since i first posted my condition and im so grateful to everyone who has given me words of support. Just an update, i should have had my work up for TACE treatment on 17th but due to my back condition i was unable to get there. So its now on Monday next week. All up i think ive put myself back by around 8 weeks by stressing out and putting things off. Its like some days i care and some days i dont. Just have to try and stay positive i suppose. Anyway, thanks again for listening. Take care, Greg xx

Re: Nervously waiting for liver biopsy results

Hi Cindi, just thought id say hi, i miss our chats sometimes. I hope things are going ok for you and you have some normality back in your life. Wanted to say thankyou for all your messages over the last 6 months, (wow has it been that long already) your words have been a big help in making me feel stronger and more positive. Its kind of nice knowing other people actually care about my situation. Im going ok, have a new treatment coming up called TACE, have my work up done next Monday. Had fresh scans done on my back a few weeks ago and its a mess. I have major facet joint degeneration, bulging discs and pressure on nerves which is really debilitating and constantly painful, so not really enjoying life right now. Anyway Cindi, enough dribbling from me. You take care, all the best, Greg xxx

Re: Nervously waiting for liver biopsy results

Hi Greg,

Sorry I haven't been talked for a while, time seems to gallop away from me.

I'm so sorry to hear about your back it sounds horrible, that on top of everything else.

Did they say they can do anything to help the back problems?

That's good you're going to have the TACE treatment, you have to fight this thing, don't loose hope, just push on you'll get through it all, lets keep in contact, lets fight it together, there's probably lots of others out there in your position going through the same treatment, hopefully some will get on this forum.

I've been ok , still trying to get my strength back and I seem to be getting a few infections in my bladder for some reason and recently had a bad one that was resistant to most antibiotics, eventually found one that

would work but after a few days I got allergic and had hives all over me🙄 but I'd had it for enough days to kill it luckily, but it's a constant worry , I drink as much water as I can as I'm trying to protect my one remaining kidney.

I go to my gym as often as I can and slowly building up my strength again, but very slowly.

All will be good, we must stay positive, we WILL win in the end, just can't give up Greg, got to keep pushing through.

Hugs from Cindi xx
