Hi @Ali108 , Oh I'm sorry, you HAVE been through a lot and facing a lot too, must be very hard for you. I hope someone else comes along with advice about bowel removal as I haven't had to have this done but do know of others who have a colostomy bag and seem fine with it. I can imagine it would take a while to get the hang of it though. I had to have my right kidney & ureter & bladder cusp removed due to cancer, but it wasn't too bad at all. I must admit the chemo wasn't nice though and has left me quite shattered, but it hasn't been that long since stopping, so I intend to get my strength and brain fog cleared. I know you need to decide, but having it all done I feel you'd get used to it after a while and at least give yourself a longer life, and you sound like the sort of person who would get back into enjoying life again pretty quickly. But it's up to you of course. Think positive, it's amazing what they can do now, but reach out here, as we all understand as we are also fighting cancers of some kind. Hi @Richard56 , I'm so sorry I haven't responded, no internet here, but back to normal now. Your operation sounds INTENSE ! you poor guy, it's sounds incredibly painful. The things you do when your young, you never think then what future results will be. Who would've guessed what damage the sun can do. Anyway, the worst is over and will just improve from now on I hope, you are very strong to be able to go off for such long walks AND use weights after that, wow. Anyway, so the dressings were removed yesterday? How'd it go? Hope it's made things a little easier, although it'll take quite a while to heal I guess. Hi @Isadora2021 , I've only just got back online as my Internet's been down for the last 5 days, I couldn't access my emails or anything. Now all good. Wow you've been through a lot, amazing how strong you can be when you need to be. Good on you. And I know what you mean about the dogs helping you. I often go up to my local dog park just to make myself feel better, I have 3 cats but would love a dog, they are so in tune to their human and seem to know how to cheer you up! Hi @Jennifer66 , I know you don't realise it, but you're an amazingly strong and brave woman, you've been through so much but just take it all in your stride. I'm so happy for you with your good results and hope now you can eat normal food. Your husband sounds wonderful. I like your attitude about how to deal with such stress and will try to follow your lead and not stress over what "could" happen. Hi Greg, Sorry, time gets away from me. I have good news about my biopsy's , they aren't cancerous, so I'm very lucky. However they are going to keep a close eye on it, I see the surgeon in a couple of weeks to discuss it. But for now, I'm just trying to get my strength back, I still get so tired when I exert myself, didn't realise how much it's all taken out of me.I'm back at the gym , just taking things slowly. Our reno's nearly finished, well as much as they are going to do, then my husband will finish other things,....it'll just take him a while I guess. I'm glad you're seeing your specialist soon, that's good,less time to worry about it, also getting away is great, and the surfing will do you good! Hi Greg, It's hard not to worry isn't it, and I agree with you about wanting to know before you go away, shame he can't fit you in before then, but a phone call would also be good, did you ask them to do this? hope they will.
