Hi @y3boyz4me , I'm so sorry, I know it's scary as I've been through the same, however with my breast cancer I opted for a double mastectomy.   Then the next year I got cancer in my Ureter, the tube attaching my right kidney to my bladder , I was nervous about that too as it was a very aggressive tumor & had spread to fat & muscle.   But having the op to remove my kidney & ureter went well , I recovered quite quickly then the chemo, which was hard but I got through now all clear for the past year.   Talking to the lovely people on here helped me so much.   Did your Oncologist tell you if this was spread from the breast cancer? Hi Greg,   I'm doing ok thanks, I make myself go to my gym most days, it really helps me, I still get really tired and my memory's not so good, hoping it all improves though ( think the chemo knocked me around a lot) Sorry you've had a hard time with your treatment, what happened to your breathing? was that from the  RT ?  How often do you have to have it done? Hi @Di57 ,   Yes it is a shock, it's hard to accept isn't it. I remember when my biopsy was, it was my birthday so hard to forget. I didn't know how to think about it all either. Eventually you'll accept it all and you just need to put your trust in the nurses and doctors. They know what's best to help you beat the cancer. Last year I did have to have chemo as I got another cancer ( bladder) not related to the breast cancer. I found the chemo nurses absolutely lovely, they really put you at ease. Also you should get assigned a nurse whom you can contact when you have any worries. They are all so kind and helpful, just trust them and try to take one day at a time. I didn't have immunotherapy? but I think if I was you, I'd just do whatever they suggest, remember they are the experts, and you want to get rid of the cancer. Which state are you in? Hi @Richard1 ,   Wow you've had a hard time, I'm sorry. Also sorry I only just saw your post.   I used to be on this forum a lot more while going through my cancer journey last year, but not so often now.   I see it was some months back, when you were diagnosed, so what's been happening?   Are you coping ok?   I know Chemo sucks but it does work, it does also knock you around , you need to try to eat and drink plenty of water. Hello @Di57 , I only just saw your post, I'm very sorry for your situation. What did your specialist say? I had breast cancer 2 years ago, it was the hormonal kind "Lobula" . in both breasts. I had Lumpectomies done then my specialist decided I need a double mastectomy. I was lucky it hadn't reached my lymph nodes, but I do know women who had it in their lymph nodes and were alright after treatment, so please don't give up hope. I am ok now, in fact I got over my surgeries quite quickly, but will be on hormone suppressant medication for another 8 years I think, but it's not too bad really. Hi Greg, That sounds promising, your treatment, I hope so much you have good results. I've been ok thanks, getting my strength back and I'm back at my gym, particularly working on bone strength, as the breast cancer drugs I'm on suck the calcium out of my bones. Not liking this cold, only 11 degrees this morning in my area, hope it wont get too much colder.
