Hi Cindi, its good to hear from you. Its been 3 weeks since my TACE treatment and im still feeling lousy. Im a bit over it to be honest. My back pain is relentless, i seen my GP yesterday and hes referred me to someone to help with pain management, but im not holding out much hope. Ive been taking endone twice a day but it doesnt work. so i just have to live with it. I hope youve been going ok. Take care ❤️ Greg xx
Hi @greg57 ,
Oh I'm so sorry, what did they do to you in the procedure? did they say why you're in such pain?
I really feel for you, try to hang in there, don't give up.
Hugs, xx
Has anyone told you how long the pain will last?
I wonder if slow release Palexia pain killers would help? they kept the pain manageable for me after my breast cancer.
I feel sorry for you, and really hope it goes away soon.
Sending positive vibes and a big hug,
Cindi xx
Hey Cindi, thanks for your message. Just letting you know the back pain is an old issue, i have bulging discs, pressure on some nerves, and facet joint degeneration, all of which are the result of 40 years painting. It takes its toll on the body eventually. Unless youre superman, and im not. So, its not related to my treatment as far as i know. I think i mentioned i have scans on 21st May, then i will see my doctor soon after to discuss how its going, has it worked, will i need more treatment, all the things im anxious to know. My liver has been very painful though, but thats understandable as half of it is being killed off. Anyway, will know more soon. I had my flu jab last week, dont want to be getting sick with my immune system low. I hope yore well and going ok, i really appreciate our chats, its good to talk. Thanks for the hugs 😘 Greg
Hi @greg57
Well good luck with the scan and results, I know the waiting can be so stressful.
And sorry about your back too, you really are going through the wars, but the main thing is to get your liver better, then life will be so much easier for you, I feel it'll all be ok, hang in there.
Hugs, Cindi xx
Hi Cindi, i hope you are well. I seen my doctor last week to go over the scans post treatment, doctor is a bit concerned that it has only had a small reduction in size (tumour), it is still 6cm. He now wants me to have a different procedure involving radiation for 5 days in a row. He says it is not as bad as the treatments ive been having. I turn up, have the treatment and can go straight home. Im still yet to find out what goes on exactly, will know more when i have a CT in 2 weeks. Hows life going for you these days? Take care, Greg xx
Hi Greg,
That sounds promising, your treatment, I hope so much you have good results.
I've been ok thanks, getting my strength back and I'm back at my gym, particularly working on bone strength, as the breast cancer drugs I'm on suck the calcium out of my bones.
Not liking this cold, only 11 degrees this morning in my area, hope it wont get too much colder.
Next month I have a cystoscopy done to check things out in my bladder, hope it'll prove all ok but always a bit of a worry.
All the best, hope it all goes well for you,
Hugs, Cindi xx
Thankyou for the heart KateA 💕

Greg ❤️
