Hi All, I’ve just been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and have to make a quick decision regarding the reconstructive surgery following mastectomy. I would like to know from anyone that has had the inner thigh adductor muscle used for this procedure, their degree of satisfaction following the procedure and any adverse effects, if any, that they have experienced.
The other two options for me are just to leave it at the mastectomy with no reconstruction, which I find very confronting. The other option is silicone implant but I have reservations regarding aesthetic result with that. Perhaps it would be more difficult for an acceptable degree of breast symmetry to be attained. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed and would appreciate any feedback. Thank you, PK3
