Hello, my name is Monique Foley, I am a year 12 student and I'm conducting research on the role of digital media and the misinformation and misleading information which is presented in the context of cancer. This is for a Personal Interest Project in the subject of Society & Culture. I am interested in this focus topic as my mother has struggled with cancer three times in my lifetime and has not conformed to any alternate medicines. I am interested in the reasoning behind people utilising these medicines and the overall influence digital media has on this.
