Hi my name is Lesley. I was diagnosed with Clear Cell Carcinoma Renal Stage 2 in 2021. I had a full right Nephrectomy in April 2022, I had clear margins and had a few scares. Nodes on my lungs which have now disappeared and nodes on my thyroid which were benign. My scans have been clear every other time. I didn't and still don't have any friends or family to lean on. I had and still have my children who are all adults with me most of the time. It's very hard to keep your fear of dying from your kids. I kept most of my fears hidden. I still find it hard that I was abandoned in my time of need. When you're always there for everyone at any time and when you need a hug and a " you will be ok" from friends and family they are nowhere to be found.   Now I'm looking to connect with others who understand what it's like to go through cancer feeling isolated.
