Congratulations Harker on completing a task that many of us, like me, also want to do. Don't know if I will get organised enough though. Haven't read it yet , but will!
You must feel very happy to have achieved your goal!

Hi Frangipani75
I am sorry to hear about your parents...we are in the same predicament.
You have identified a lot of my fears about how my 3 children are being affected by both my husband and I having cancer. My husband was diagnosed in Dec 2008 and I was diagnosed in Dec2012. I hate the fact they are having to deal with our cancers. I feel very saddened that the cancers that we have put a damper on their young lives when they should have care- free times( two in their 20's and one in early 30' s) !
They are all very close to us and although we don't live close to any of them they text, email, phone and Skype us many times each week.
My mother also had a philosophy on life similar to Julie's mum . Her philosophy was that we have to accept and live as best we can with the "cards" that we have been dealt in life...and in turn get on with life as best you can.
So that is what we are all trying and we are very honest with our chn and tell them all the medical info too. I think having a depth of understanding helps them ...well so they say.
You will find the strength to cope and remember to have plenty of laughs with them as I know it helps me and them . I am sorry too that you have to cope/ deal with this...it is not fair is it!
