I live on Sydney's northern beaches, I love everything about the great outdoors and appreciate everything that Mother Nature throws my way lightening, storms, rainbows beautiful sunrises and sunsets
I love watching the sunrise every morning and it gives me great joy to appreciate the simple things in life and I can't help myself but everytime, I pass someone with a dog I just want to pat them they just give off so much happiness and they make me smile
I’m very excited to let you know that a book I have been writing for the last 10 years about my diagnosis, treatment and recovery from breast cancer has been accepted to be published as an E book with an American publisher and will be available to a worldwide audience.
I started writing this as I thought it might help me to deal with this unexpected event in my life. then I started sending it to other people who had found themselves in the same situation, hoping that it might also help them and realise they are not alone.
What I have learnt is that sometimes in life you get thrown a curve ball out of the blue, and it is not so much what this thing is… but how you deal with it that is so important.
When faced with life threatening news, it is amazing how much inner strength you find that you have deep inside you that you didn’t know you had, that you can call on and in the true Aussie fashion, when things get tough it is good to be able to have a bit of a laugh at yourself and not take life so seriously.
Take some time to walk in someone else’s shoes and make the most of every day of your life as you never know what might be around the corner
My book is called ‘The Accidental Patient”
