I'm 67 years old and was diagnosed with tongue cancer mid 2017. Since then, I've endured two rounds of radiotherapy (8 weeks, then 6 weeks), and my most recent surgery involved a total glossectomy. My lastest check up was a week ago and given the all clear. I'm very lucky that: 1. I have the love and support from my family and friends 2. I'm still actively working and enjoying my work as a practising accountant 3. I'm in incredibly good spirits and philosophical about it I do struggle with a speech impediment and being unable to eat solid food.
