I have read the posts regarding the help available for dental care for people with cancer, is there something similar for eyesight affected by chemo. My sight which was alreday very poor but had settled down in the last dew years, has now worsened dramatically, oncologist said that the chemo does affec it. My problem is because my sight is quite bad, my lenses usually cost me an arm and several legs!!!!!. I sure could use some financial help if available. Thank you all S

Hi Vinouche Unfortunately there does not seem to be any scheme out there that will help with eyesight problems resulting from chronic illness. The dental scheme came about through a realisation that many people with a chronic illness just did not have the financial resources for dental work so their dental health was poor. If anyone out there does know of a scheme for eyesight, then please let us know. Cheers Sailor Many emergencies involving the crew or vessel can be avoided by preliminary and on-going physical and mental preparation.
