The Cancer Council and 16 young adults affected by cancer are about to embark on a 2 day training course in Sydney this weekend to learn advocacy skills so they can get active in their local cancer community and address some major issues that they know exist. I did this training 2 and a half years ago and it blew me away! It was this training that actually got me engage with the cancer council and enthused to have a voice and stand up to the inequalities and inadequacies of cancer related issues. It takes a certain kind of person to stand up and have a go, so well done to you all for taking an interest in advocacy and wanting to make a difference and improve peoples lives who are experiencing cancer. You guys Rock!! ;)
