Hello, I am a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed in October last year, and have gone through a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction. During my chemotherapy treatment I wrote a book that I hoped would help and inspire others going through chemotherapy to approach things a little differently. Cheers Lynne

Hi Lynne, your blog title caught my eye, as this was my husband's philosophy after his diagnosis (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) and chemotherapy. Tell me more about your book! love Emily

Hi Emily, I wrote the book during my chemotherapy. I am also an artist and during the first week of each cycle I would paint. So the book is a collection of the paintings I did and a little bit about how I coped with things through the whole ordeal. Cheers Lynne

That sounds brilliant! Art is such a good 'coping mechanism' (of course, it's so much more, as well). Is your book on sale anywhere?

Yes. Please send me a private email and I can let you know the details. As you say I did find painting such a good coping mechanism, as well as writing the book. I think it helped to put my feelings down on paper.
