Hi All, I coordinate the Telephone and Internet Support Groups, run through the Cancer Council of Victoria, and am part of the team who want to make this space work in the best way possible for you all. I'm very excited that this site is up and running! In my work, I have heard so many people speak of the sense of isolation they feel when they, or someone they are close to has cancer. I'm looking forward to seeing more and more people from Australia (and internationally) being able to make "connections" with others who are going through similar experiences through this site. So welcome all, and please do keep the feedback coming!

Hi Moonshadow, I would love to hear if The Cancer Council of Victoria has any support services/groups ect in place specific for Young Adults? Cheers, nikki

Hi Nikki, Thanks for your comment - yes, we have been running regular online support groups for younger adults via a private chat room. We are always blown away by the fantastic converstations that happen, and we're nearly ready to start a new group up. Up until now this has been via our local vic website, but Raul and I have been putting our heads together to organise this to happen here on this site. Cheers & take care, Kate

Hi Kate, I would love to be involved in this group if possible. is it open to NSW people? It would be helpful for me to experience this online group both as a YAC and a soon to be online support group facilitator. Best, Nikki

Hi Kate Could I be included in this on-line chat group also please. Not to sure what has been happening lately- not only on here but in my life as well!!!! pain killers may have a lot to do with it. If I am accepted - what do I do and when are the sessions. Thanks Kate
