It's only been a day since I have found Cancer Connections....what a ray of light. It's wonderful to read about others and their personal journeys. I thought I understood about cancer before I was diagnosed. I watched a very close family member survive breast cancer, chemo, the loss of her hair, the exhaustion, the mental anguish. Boy was I in denial. I had no idea. Thank you to those who have already written to me and made me feel welcome. There is an unspoken word, a community, a family of people who share the pain, the hope, the journey. I think this is exactly what I need in order to find my "normal".
