Hello everyone,
I'm so sorry if this message sounds incredibly self-centred and somewhat manic. I honestly don't know what I'm doing right now.
Firstly, I'm 25-years-old and my mother is dying from aggressive glioblastoma. As many can unfortunately imagine and understand, it is nothing short of horrific.
I'm struggling to cope with the magnitude of it and it's certainly taking a physical effect on me. For the previous few weeks, I've been having extreme cluster headaches on my left side, which is often accompanied by severe vision impairment (usually chronic bleariness or a "shadowy" view in one eye).
I work in a medical centre, so I'll definitely be seeing a doctor about all of this. But in the meantime, I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar or has any stories on how stress has physically manifested on them.
I just feel so lost.
Kind regards,
Octavia
Hello Octavia,
I am very sorry to hear about your mum's diagnosis, understandably this is very stressful for you.
Extreme headaches could be a symptom of stress, just keep in mind, everybody reacts differently to stress, so I am glad to know you will be seeing your GP soon to make sure you can have a better understanding of what is causing these headaches, and hopefully be able to manage it.
Best wishes

Dear Octavia
So sorry to hear Your Mum has a Gliobastoma🥺
That alone is huge and all of what comes with is definitely enough to send a person into shock and other adverse reactions .
Maybe your symptoms have eased in the last few days,I hope so..
Try not to worry about things in the future I know there is practical things we must take of but as far as possible just spend time with Mum xxxx
